If You Don't Know, Now You Know

Ever heard the name Jeremy Kost? Well you have now. Kost has developed a healthy catalog of celebrity snapshots. While everyone else is relying on lighting, make-up and styling, Kost has managed to make a name for himself using the 1932 Edwin H. Land invention, The Polaroid Camera.

Nicknamed the new "anti-paparazzi", Kost was influenced by Andy Warhol's New York, which displays the raw reality of New York's East Village and Lower East Side. Kost was touched by the honesty of these shots and found a way to incorporate that into his work with New York's elite.

Unlike all the sleazy tabloid magazine shots and glamorous 5-page editorials, Kost's images portray stars in their own element, being who they really are. There is nothing artificial about his work; what you see it what you get. There is a beauty and warmth captured in his photos that cannot be duplicated by the digital photographer.

Kost has definitely filled the void of realness in this shallow world we live in. He has recently landed a regular column for Elle Accessories magazine. Anthem and Angeleno magazines have also featured his work. Visit www.roidrage.com for more info.
